My experience in the month that I've owned Vista is that it's a piss poor frustrating exercise in uselessness, blended with an extreme version of annoyance... all topped with a gleaming fake plastic glowing flashy jewel - and you will like it, because they told you so, and there are no other alternatives.

Microsoft throws in the towel on Vista
I click this and go to the contacts screen but do not get the contacts tool bar. It seems to be the music toolbar. There are no buttons on this tool bar to let me create new contacts or other selections that should be on the contacts tool bar. There are two other users on this system and they work fine.

If you don't do this, it won't work. At least it didn't for me. The screen should now change aspect ratios, but not resolutions. How do you repair windows entirely using your Windows Vista DV
I'm guessing Microsoft lawyers are high fiving each other, having snatched an important victory from utter and total defeat. The rest is excellent, of course, and in no way do I mean to detract from the hard work and persistence that the EU Commission has shown. However, I don't think they understand how seriously

Part of the reason is that I work in a PC shop, so for certain things (scanning documents, etc), I have no choice but to use Windows. The other is that, admittedly, for certain vertical applications, the PC is used over the Mac. Like I said: If it weren't so lacking...yada, yada. No amount of spin > > on your part

Great to know there is software meant to be used on Vista to support .png+ if I do need to continue working with them once I upgrade, and I'll try the trial or something so people who work with those file types wouldn't be left in the cold, though I suppose they just figure people can buy their older software.
